That is what this game does. A grooved wooden board, 42 colourful pieces that drop into place, and a stack of cards showing shapes to copy. No screen, no flashing lights, no jingle stuck in your head after ten minutes.
It grows with your child, and that makes all the difference
Most games suit a single age. This one suits three stages at once, because the cards get steadily harder:
- Around age 3, your child plays with the loose pieces: stacking, sorting by colour, feeling a block settle into its groove.
- Around age 4 or 5, the cards come into play. Look, find the right piece, and copy the shape.
- Around age 6 or 7, filling the entire board becomes the challenge. Now it takes planning ahead, because one piece in the wrong spot blocks the rest.
That is why it does not end up at the bottom of the toy box after two weeks. It keeps pace with whatever your child can do right now.

How it works
The board has grooves. Small pegs under each piece slot into them, so a design stays put, even when the board stands upright on its stand. Your child picks a card, gathers the matching pieces, and recreates the shape. It works just as well without a card: simply build whatever they imagine.

For the child who is done after five minutes with toys that only do one thing. And for the grandparent, mum or dad looking for a gift that will still be played with six months from now, instead of the next battery-powered gadget.
Suitable for ages 3 and up. It contains small parts, so we recommend keeping it away from children under three.
